We are pleased to announce that our May 2008 meeting will feature
Karen Hitchcock speaking on:
ISO-9001:2008 - What's New? What's On the Horizon?
Karen has over 25 years in senior and middle management, during which time she built an excellent reputation in the practice of quality disciplines. She is considered an expert in ISO-9000 (International Organization of Standardization) QMS principles and serves on and leads committees tasked with working on the next generation of ISO-9001 and ISO-9004 for the United States delegation to ISO including TAG176 and the Product Support Initiative (PSI). Karen is currently an active and voting member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) 176. Most recently, Karen was nominated for the position of Secretary to the U.S. Delegation for TAG 176, as well as leading the U.S. validation of ISO-9001:2008.
Karen participated in authoring the Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) course material forASQ as a subject matter expert (SME) and is currently consultant for the ANSI 002-2002 Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard auditing sub-committee in developing 3rd party auditing schema, which will be the first for this industry.
