Position Title: Quality Engineer

Pay Type: Salary
Department: Mfg. Engineering Shift: Day
Reports to: Mfg. Engineering Mgr. Salary: $65-85,000
Position Summary: Develop, implement, and drive good quality practices in manufacturing operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Monitor product quality
* Define methods and procedures to measure key quality characteristics
* Develop and train production staff on Quality Procedures
* Track and analyze data on non-conformances
* Participate in non-conforming product Material Review Board (MRB) process
* Support Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with quality management system
* Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action
* Continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system
* Create and maintain company quality documentation
* Conduct internal and supplier audit
* Quality system maintenance
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as they are assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Availabilities/Key Characteristics:
* Advanced problem solving; analyzing, investigating and following up
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Attention to detail and follow through
* Proactive in proposing alternate solutions for process improvement
* Effective oral and written communication
* Computer skills including business systems and Microsoft office
* Work well with others
* Knowledge of machine building is a plus
Required Experience, Education, and Training:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or technical field
* Quality system implementation – ISO 9000 or similar
* 4-6 years working as a Quality Engineer at an OEM, preferably a capital equipment manufacturer
* An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
