Position Overview
Johnson Health Tech North America is looking for a VP of Global Quality to work in partnership with the JHT VP of Engineering to define and achieve group quality objectives. This position also represents the voice of the customer at the board level of our organization.
Qualifications
Education:
* Four year college degree in related field or combination of education and experience
* Prefer additional training in management, quality, or ISO preferred
* Prefer ASQ or other certifications
Experience:
* Prefer history of leading a successful transformation to enterprise-level Quality Management Systems
* 10+ years experience in quality or manufacturing role and minimum of 5 years in quality management or decision making role required
* Previous experience in automobile, consumer durables, or capital equipment industries preferred
* Previous experience with ISO, TQM and/or Six-Sigma quality environments
Other Requirements:
* Fluent in both written and spoken, Mandarin and English
* Based in Shanghai, China area with frequent travel to Taiwan, U.S. and Europe
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word required
* Prefer experience with SAP, ERP, or other similar database preferred
* Valid drivers license is required
Responsibilities
Drive quality culture transformation:
* Assist the company to set realistic, measurable quality and customer satisfaction targets.
* Develop and execute an action plan to achieve these annual quality targets.
* Attend monthly MBO meetings at the factories, HQ, and JHTNA whenever possible to represent the interests of quality improvements.
* Recommend pacing of product development consistent with our quality objectives.
* Recommend internal resource allocation needed to achieve our quality objectives.
* Represent the voice of the customer at the board level of our organization.
Quality Reporting:
* Develop improved quality dashboard that makes quality trends more transparent to everyone within the company.
Drive Quality Culture:
* Spend 50% of time with the market, and 50% with factory working with both teams to build a long term cooperative and collaborative relationship.
* Establish formal decision-making criteria for R&D teams to assist in decision making judgment. Help make this decision-making criteria part of the training and culture of the company.

Employee Eligibility
Employee eligibility for promotion or lateral transfer will be determined by the requirements of the new job. In addition, to be considered, employees should have held their current position for at least three months, have a satisfactory performance record and have no disciplinary actions during the same period. KPI or monthly working plan achievement rate will also be considered in the decision. Management retains the discretion to make exceptions to the policy.
Employee candidates for promotions will normally be screened and selected based on attendance and work records, performance appraisals, KPI achievement rates, monthly working plan and job-related qualifications. Promoted employees may be subject to the provisions of the probationary/training period policy in their new positions.
