Quality Manager
Our Company
Aztalan Engineering is a manufacturer of precision machine components for customers in the medical equipment, scientific, military and other industries requiring high quality and tight tolerances. We have been meeting our customer’s needs for machined parts since 1978 from our state-of-the-art, ISO 9001 Certified, manufacturing operations in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, just 30 miles east of Madison on I-94. Our Opportunity
Quality Manager offering a broad range of responsibilities and duties cutting across the full spectrum of our manufacturing and engineering operations. Essential responsibilities as a key member of our Quality Management Team include:
* Direct Quality department personnel and resources
* Coordinate production work flow with Production management
* Assist with maintaining the Quality Management System through internal and supplier audits and corrective action implementation and follow-up
* Provide Quality Engineering support during the introduction of new or revised parts and/or processes
* Monitor product quality, identify sources of quality problems, and facilitate corrective action solutions
* Plan, implement, and coordinate studies for quality process improvements and cost reductions utilizing appropriate statistical methods/quality tools
Our Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with five or more years of experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment. Must be experienced in using traditional inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators), surface plate inspection methods (using gage blocks, indicators, sine bars) and have basic skills using a CMM. Must be experienced in using problem solving and analytical tools and practices. This should include process capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility studies, and statistical process control. Also:
* Work experience must include working in a facility certified to a recognized Quality Management System such as ISO 9001
* Possess a successful employment history with a demonstration of dedication, responsibility and conscientious commitment to excellence
* American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer preferred
