Quality Document Control Coordinator; Quality Assurance Department

Job description – brief statement
The Document Control Coordinator is an assistant level position that reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. The candidate would be expected to have a strong science background, college degree preferred, with technical experience in document preparation, spreadsheets, and recordkeeping processes.

Duties & responsibilities –
Key tasks/primary duties
* Maintain the Document Control process as detailed in SOPs
* Maintain Certificate of Analysis records for purchased laboratory standards
* Create and update facility SOPs and Forms
* Maintain Quality department files
* Review bench sheets for proper recordkeeping, SOP and regulatory compliance

Education requirements – qualifications
* Minimum of college degree in sciences, preferably chemistry or biology
* Minimum of one year experience in QA/QC procedures, preferred

Technical background and experience – knowledge and skills
* Must have a strong working knowledge of various computer programs.
* Experience with Microsoft Office programs; i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, flow charts, spreadsheets
* Prefer experience with Laboratory Management System
* Prefer some degree of QA/QC or regulatory compliance experience

Key role interactions –
* Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager
* Support the document control needs of the other departments
* Work effectively with other departments and administration staff

Other -
* Assist QA Manager with responding to internal and external requests
* Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager
