Announcing the 2012 Donald Ermer Education Scholarship Program

The ASQ Madison Section 1217 Donald Ermer Education Scholarship Program was named so in 2007 for our late friend and colleague, Professor Don Ermer, who served for so many years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering. Don demonstrated his passion for Quality through his commitment to his students and in his never-ending pursuit of learning.

In 2000, that passion earned Don the Eugene L. Grant Medal from ASQ in 2000. The Grant Medal is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the development and presentation of a meritorious educational program in quality. Past recipients have included Joseph Juran, Kaoru Ishikawa, Harold Dodge, and Noriaki Kano, just to name a few. Don's impact on those around him was profound, and we are honored to offer our section scholarships in his name.

The Donald Ermer Education Scholarship is available to High School Students planning to attend college and to current college students who are continuing in their studies. All applicants will need a sponsor from the ASQ Madison Section. Applications will need to be post marked no later than February 4, 2012. Application instructions and forms are below.
